Design Challenge
Design an engaging and cohesive event identity across media that announces our 2024 Senior Show. It must celebrate the Visual Arts and Graphic Design senior capstone work and experiences. The design must clearly inform, create a call to action, and capture the spirit of PLNU and its graduates.
Solution
For my PLNU 2025 Senior Show Campaign I wanted to tie in my interests, and skills. I began with inspiration, and looking around me at the things I love. I was deciding between collecting shells, architecture, or coffee orders. I landed on coffee orders so I could highlight something most college students can relate to. I wanted to hand draw each order, and use a color palette that felt like a clean cafe. I came up with a dark blue, a bright white, and then let the colors of the beverages shine through. Next, I decided on a tagline that connected to the theme of the poster, as well as highlighting all of our work and pushing ourselves until the last of our time at school. The final ended up clean, organized, and a good representation of the graduating class of designers.

Results
The final campaign created a cohesive, engaging visual identity for the PLNU Senior Show that felt modern and relatable. The coffee order concept celebrated each student’s individuality, with hand-drawn coffees adding a personal touch and a balanced color palette keeping the design organized. Overall, it clearly communicated event information while highlighting the unique work of the graduating designers.
